Is this important? Absolutely, since many get this important distinction confused. And, since stormwater regulations (and NPDES permits) usually ONLY cover stormwater discharges, it is critical to understand the difference. Also, don't overestimate the presence of process water at a site by confusing it with stormwater. Read this article for some clear guidance.
