Doug Ruhlin

Hey there, I'm Doug Ruhlin, the guy who kicked off Resource Management Associates back in '92 and now lead the team at our Wilmington, NC office.

I always liked being outside as a kid, so it seems only natural that at this point in my life I run and act as the senior environmental consultant here at RMA. My academic journey took me from a BS in Geosciences at Rider University to an MS in Atmospheric & Oceanic Science at the University of Michigan, not to mention a collection of certifications and credentials too long to list. All this knowledge fuels my drive to help our clients navigate and stay ahead of environmental regulations.

For many of our clients, ensuring compliance is the goal, and we're here for it. But when it comes to businesses aiming to set the pace in their markets through Environmental Management Systems and Sustainable Practices, that's where I really get to dive deep. I'm all about offering tangible solutions to real-world environmental challenges and seizing opportunities that make a difference.

• Jersey born and bred, with a memorable stint in Michigan.
• A huge sports fan, I never miss a chance to cheer on the Philadelphia Phillies and Rutgers Scarlet Knights football.
• Surfing's my thing, having caught waves in nearly every coastal US state. The Great Lakes and Alaska are next on my list!
• I'm polishing my Spanish daily, aiming to shake off the rust.
• My world revolves around my three amazing kids and my wonderful wife.
• A coffee aficionado, I roast and grind my own beans for the perfect cup.
• Camping and gardening are my go-to activities. True to form, I'm happiest outdoors.
