Toxic Release Inventory (TRI) Reporting is an essential process for facilities handling toxic chemicals, detailing inventory, usage, and environmental releases. These regulations, while crucial for public safety and environmental protection, can be intricate and challenging to navigate. Resource Management Associates stands ready to clarify and streamline this process for your facility. With years of experience ensuring environmental compliance, our team possesses the in-depth knowledge required to manage your TRI Reporting effectively. Whether guiding you through Form A or Form R Reporting or handling the entire process on your behalf, RMA makes compliance with Toxic Release Inventory Reporting straightforward and stress-free.

We recognize that understanding and adhering to TRI regulations is a common challenge for organizations nationwide. Determining what needs to be reported, deciding between Form A or Form R, and documenting releases to the environment are tasks that require detailed attention and expertise. At RMA, we alleviate these burdens, providing clear, comprehensive guidance and support. Our objective is to remove the complexity and confusion from TRI Reporting, allowing you to focus on your core business while remaining fully compliant with all environmental regulations.

Getting Started With TRI Reporting | Resource Management Associates

Getting Started with TRI Reporting

Federal environmental regulations dictate that you are required to report if you meet the requirements. If you fail to report, your facility will be subject to penalties in the form of large monetary fines.

This reporting is done annually, and takes 2-3 months to complete.
Our team evaluates the materials on-site to determine the toxic chemicals present. Sometimes this requires an in-person site visit, but not always. We then calculate the throughput of the toxic chemicals, determine release pathways, and quantify releases of toxic chemicals through said release pathways. Once the reporting is complete, and we have your final sign off, we send the reports. This reporting is due each year on July 1st.

Simplifying Your TRI Reporting Process

Toxic Release Inventory (TRI) Reporting regulations can be a labyrinth of complexity and confusion for organizations nationwide. At Resource Management Associates, we specialize in demystifying these regulations, eliminating the guesswork and ensuring your compliance. Our dedicated team takes on the burden of understanding what needs to be reported, whether it’s Form A or Form R Reporting, and the specifics regarding releases to the environment, allowing you to focus on your core business activities without the regulatory headaches.

Comprehensive Analysis and Compliance Determination

RMA begins by conducting a thorough inventory analysis to identify the chemicals present on-site and assesses them against the TRI reporting thresholds. We clarify your reporting obligations, determining whether your facility must engage in Form A or Form R Reporting or if you fall outside the regulatory requirements. Additionally, we evaluate whether your inventory necessitates annual Tier II Community Right to Know Reporting, ensuring comprehensive environmental compliance.

Accurate Chemical Release Assessments and Reporting

The misconception that your facility lacks toxic chemicals could lead to non-compliance. Given the extensive list of regulated chemicals by the USEPA, it's likely that your operations may require TRI Reporting. RMA employs various techniques to accurately quantify and identify environmental releases of toxic chemicals, ensuring your reporting is precise and complete. Our team manages the annual reporting process, submitting all necessary information to the correct agencies, guaranteeing full regulatory compliance.

Review and Correction of Past Filings

TRI compliance does not end with current reporting; previous submissions can impact your facility if inaccurately filed. RMA offers services to review past TRI reports, making necessary corrections to safeguard your interests and maintain compliance integrity. We also stay vigilant for additional reporting requirements beyond federal mandates, identifying any state or local regulations that might affect your facility, ensuring a holistic approach to your environmental reporting obligations.

At Resource Management Associates, we provide the expertise and detailed attention needed for accurate and efficient TRI Reporting. By partnering with us, you benefit from a streamlined reporting process, informed by decades of experience and a commitment to your business’s environmental compliance and success.
